The following list of maritime publications is provided for your enjoyment. Most of the books and items listed here are of local maritime interest or have been written by or published by Vancouver Branch members. For a complete listing of books published by members of the World Ship Society, go to worldshipsociety.org and select "Member Publications". The Society does not sell any of the publications listed on this site (except where indicated). Details of availability will be posted in the description of each listing. Any prices listed are presumed current at the time of posting, but may change without notice. The Union Steamship Company [of British Columbia] stopped at virtually every community and every inhabited cove from Vancouver to Alaska, including northern Vancouver Island and the Queen Charlottes, until December 31, 1958. The second half of the book is a lively collection of maritime memoirs and reflects the personalities and experiences of the many dedicated crewmembers. The first half of the book is entitled "Ships of the Union Steamships Fleet". Art Twigg worked in the Purser's office aboard every ship in the fleet, and brings his many experiences to life in this publication. Large format 9 inches x 11 inches, 427 pages.
